What you typically need for KYC

Most Indian fantasy platforms accept a similar KYC document set: PAN, an Aadhaar or other government photo ID, and a bank account or UPI ID in the player’s own name. Specific platforms may also ask for proof of address — usually a recent utility bill or bank statement.

01

PAN card

Required for any real-money play in India. The PAN must match the name on the bank account exactly — including initials and spelling.

02

Government photo ID

Aadhaar is the most common choice. Passport, voter ID and driving licence are usually also accepted. The name and date of birth must match the PAN.

03

Bank account or UPI

For withdrawals. The account or UPI ID must be in the player’s own name — third-party payout accounts are not accepted.

04

Proof of address

Some platforms request a recent utility bill or bank statement for additional verification. The address should match the one in your profile.

05

Selfie verification

Some platforms request a real-time selfie to match against the photo ID. Use natural light and remove sunglasses and hats.

06

Phone & email

An active phone number and email are required for OTP verification and account recovery. Both should be in your control.

Status meanings

What each KYC status actually means

Status labels vary by platform, but the lifecycle is usually similar. Knowing the labels saves you from raising tickets on routine processing delays.

Why KYC documents get rejected

Five causes account for almost every rejected KYC submission. All five are easy to avoid with a clean re-upload.

  1. 1

    Name mismatch

The name on the PAN, the photo ID and the bank account must all match exactly — including initials and spelling. Surnames before given names are a common cause.

  2. 2

    Blurred or cropped photo

The image must be clear, in focus, and capture the entire document. Cropped edges and out-of-focus images are the most common reasons for automated rejection.

  3. 3

    Expired ID

Expired passports and driving licences are usually rejected. Use a current document or renew the expired one first.

  4. 4

    UPI on a different phone

Some UPI handles are tied to the registered phone number. If your UPI handle is registered to a different number than the one on your account, the withdrawal will fail.

  5. 5

    Joint bank account

Most platforms only accept individual bank accounts in the player’s own name. Joint accounts are usually rejected for withdrawal.

Withdrawal timing

How long withdrawals actually take

Once KYC is approved, withdrawal timing depends on the payout rail. UPI and IMPS typically settle within 24–48 hours. NEFT and direct bank transfers can take 48–72 hours. Some platforms offer instant UPI withdrawals to verified handles.

If 72 hours have passed without settlement, capture the transaction reference ID from the wallet history and contact customer care with a screenshot of the timeline.

Safeguard your identity documents

Never share PAN, Aadhaar or bank details with anyone claiming to be support. Real support verifies your identity through the app’s secure flow — not via SMS, email or chat apps. Crop or redact sensitive fields in any screenshot you send to support.
