How to delete your account

Most fantasy platforms offer an in-app account closure option. The exact label varies — "Close Account", "Delete Account", "Deactivate" — but the workflow is usually similar. Where the option is missing, the support inbox can process the closure manually.

  1. 1

    Withdraw any remaining balance

Before deleting, withdraw the full wallet balance to a verified bank account. Closed accounts cannot process withdrawals.

  2. 2

    Clear active contests

Wait for any active contest entries to settle. Locked contests cannot be cancelled, and unsettled balances are usually forfeited on account closure.

  3. 3

    Open the in-app closure option

Go to Profile or Settings and look for Close Account, Delete Account or Deactivate. Some platforms require you to type a confirmation phrase.

  4. 4

    Confirm via OTP

Most closures require OTP confirmation to the registered phone number. Make sure you still have access to that number.

  5. 5

    Receive confirmation

The platform should send a confirmation email and an in-app message. Save both as evidence of the closure request.

Data retention

What happens to your documents and history

After account closure, most platforms retain KYC documents for the period required by Indian anti-money-laundering regulations — usually five to seven years after the last transaction. Past contest entries and transaction records are also retained for audit purposes.

KYC documents

Retained for regulatory purposes. The platform cannot delete them on request, but you can ask for confirmation that they will be deleted at the end of the retention period.

Transaction history

Retained for tax and audit purposes. You can usually request a copy via the support inbox before closing the account.

Profile data

Deleted from the user-facing profile after closure. Some metadata may remain in logs for diagnostic purposes.

Edge cases

When the in-app option is not available

Three scenarios where the in-app closure option is missing or blocked, and what to do in each.

  1. 1

    Pending withdrawal

Some platforms block closure while a withdrawal is in flight. Wait until the transaction settles, then try the in-app option again.

  2. 2

    Unsettled contest

An unsettled contest entry also blocks closure. Most contests settle within hours of the match ending.

  3. 3

    Bonus balance locked

If a bonus is still in rollover, the platform may force you to forfeit it on closure. Read the small print before activating any bonus if you think you might close the account soon.

If none of these resolve the issue, contact support with a written closure request. Most platforms process written requests within 7–14 days.

Contact customer care

After closure

Reopening a closed account

Most platforms do not allow reopening a closed account. If you decide to return later, you would need to register as a new user with a new phone number or email — which means new KYC and a fresh wallet balance.
